Why it sells
It doesn't look like the rest of the shelf. That's the point.
Walk any counter and the vacuum pump oil shelf reads like a parts bin: plain jugs, typeset labels, nothing a tech reaches for on purpose. Diamond Clear was packaged like a product people choose. It earns eye level, and it gives your counter team something to hand over with confidence.
- 01The diamond mark
Reads from across the counter and through a truck window. Most vacuum pump oil has no mark at all.
- 02Metallic wordmark on gloss black
Packaging built to the standard of a consumer brand, sitting on a B2B price list.
- 03Purity you can see
The claim the sight glass backs up. Severely hydroprocessed and non-detergent, the oil goes in water-clear and only darkens as it oxidizes, so the tech sees when it is time for a change.
- 04Four benefits in one glance
Vapor pressure, protection, thermal stability, oil life. Two seconds, no reading required.
- 05The claims line, in plain words
High purity, severely hydrotreated, non-corrosive, resists oxidation, detergent free. The spec sheet in one breath, right under the icons.
Margin
A fair price for the contractor. A real margin for the branch.
Gross margin at suggested MSRP on pallet and truckload pricing. Two sizes, two tiers, one price list.
Both sizes clear 50% at pallet. Truckload pricing takes the quart to 55.6% and the gallon to 55.0%, with the same MSRP the contractor already sees at the counter.

Inside the bottle
Purity you can see is a formulation choice, not a slogan.
Three decisions in the blend, and what each one means when a tech is standing at your counter.
Severely hydroprocessed base oil
Severe hydroprocessing removes the aromatics, sulfur and reactive light fractions that solvent refining leaves behind. What is left is better than 99 percent saturates, vacuum distilled to a narrow boiling range, with the oxidation stability to run at service pump temperatures job after job. That is where the deep vacuum and the long service life come from.
It's severely hydroprocessed. Pulls deeper, runs cleaner, lasts longer.
No detergents
A vacuum pump has no use for detergents or dispersants, and they work against it: they hold water, acid and debris in suspension and carry them back through the cartridge. Diamond Clear leaves them out and runs ashless, so contaminants settle out or leave with the drain, nothing is left on the vanes or the valves, and the pump pulls to its rated vacuum.
Non-detergent and ashless. Water and acid drain out instead of circulating.
Water-clear purity
Clear is what you get when the color-carrying aromatics and sulfur are refined out and nothing is added back to darken it. Diamond Clear goes in water-clear. As it oxidizes in service it darkens, and the tech reads that in the sight glass. He changes it when it needs it, not when he guesses.
It goes in clear. When it darkens, it's oxidized. That's your change signal.
What the label promises
Recommended for single stage and two stage oil-sealed rotary vane pumps, rotary piston and oil-flooded rotary pumps that call for a non-detergent ISO 46, and lab roughing and backing duty. Not for diffusion pumps, ammonia or lithium bromide systems, or oxygen and halogen service. Always consult the pump manufacturer's recommendations.
- Deep vacuum: below 15 microns blank-off on a sound two stage pump
- Oxidation and thermal stability at continuous duty temperatures
- Ashless and non-detergent: no residue on vanes, rotor or valves
- Water and acid separate fast and leave with the drain
- Rust and copper corrosion protection between jobs
- Low foam and fast air release under gas ballast
- Cold flow to 5 °F for winter starts
- Made in the USA
The counter pitch
Ten seconds. No training required.
Print it. Tape it under the counter. Anyone on the floor can deliver it with the bottle in hand.
Say it with the bottle in his hand. The proof shows up in his sight glass on the next job.

01Open
Want your pump to pull deeper and last longer? This is a non-detergent, severely hydroprocessed ISO 46. The class of oil the pump makers spec, made in the USA.
-
02Prove
It goes in water-clear and only darkens as it oxidizes. Your sight glass tells you when to change it. No guessing, no cooking a pump on spent oil.
Hand him the quart while you say it.

03Close
Same price or less than the name brand. Quart's $17.99, gallon's $39.99. Keep a sealed quart on the truck and every job starts with fresh oil.
- Is it as good as what I'm using?
- It's the oil the pump makers call for: non-detergent, severely hydroprocessed, ISO 46. A sound two stage pump pulls below 15 microns on it.
- Why is it clear?
- Severe hydroprocessing takes out the aromatics and sulfur that give oil its color, and there are no detergents. It goes in water-clear. When it darkens, it's oxidizing and it's time for a change.
- Do I have to flush to switch?
- No. It mixes with any conventional mineral vacuum pump oil. If the pump's history is unknown, a flush is good practice anyway.
- Why switch?
- Deeper vacuum, a sight glass you can read, and a pump that lasts. Same price or less than the name brands.
Vs. the name brands
Stop paying for the name on the bottle.
The name brands on your shelf earn their margin on the label. Diamond Clear earns it on the shelf, at the counter, and on your P&L.
- Comparable or lower counter pricing for the contractor.
The tech pays the same or less than he pays for the brand he knows. Nothing to defend at the register.
- Professional quality the tech already expects.
Severely hydroprocessed Group II, non-detergent, ISO 46, made in the USA. Pulls below 15 microns on a sound two stage pump and mixes with the mineral oil he runs now, so switching does not mean flushing.
- More margin for the branch.
50% at pallet, 55% and up at truckload, at an MSRP that works at the counter.
Put Diamond Clear on the shelf and keep more of the margin.

Typical results on production blends, not a specification. Ultimate vacuum is measured on a mechanically sound pump with a micron gauge connected directly to the intake; a charging hose will read higher. Always consult your pump manufacturer's fluid recommendation. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact with used oil. Dispose of used oil in accordance with local regulations.
